I'm not quite sure how many calories I should be consuming each day in order to loose weight efficiently. I currently weigh 230lbs with my bodyfat somewhere around 16-18%. Should I still be trying to get 1 gram of protein per lb? I do an hour of cardio 3-4 times a week along with a few games of handball. Three fullbody workouts also. I'd like to be down to 210 by Aug 1st. Thanks in advance.

Start at 10kcals/lb bodyweight/day and see what happens. If you lose more than 1lb/day long-term (ignore short-term changes in glycogen & water weight), eat more.

Stay with 1g of protein/lb bodyweight/day as this provides 4kcals/lb bodyweight/day, or 40% of your total calories.

Cheers, Nige.

If you don't know your maintenance cal. I would work on starting to eat clean for a period of time, and developing a healthy eating habit. Once you have that down, then decrease those cals by 10% and evaluate your progress.
