Lakers will sweep the pathetic Nets.

I'm pulling for the Nets but Lakers will take it in 5

I couldn't agree more! NBA East really lacks, it seems no team in the East can compete against the West.

I agree 105% the east fell when the bulls fell... the only reason the scores in the east were similar to the scores on the west was because all the East suck(relatively speaking) and all the West are good(again relatively speaking) compared to the East.. the good teams from the east of the past who have always been good collapsed with the bulls (miami, new york) and they didnt even show up in the playoffs

So you think the Lakers will take it all tomorrow night??

4-0, Lakers win!

Perhaps when Shaq retires the NBA won't be so lopsided...

Posted by: Craft

**correction** the game is tonight! Don't mind me, I'm a day off...

Anyone planning on watching it?

Posted by: maggie

I hate the Lakers, but I HOPE they sweep. Take us out of our misery...this series is pathetic.

Posted by: nikegurl

wonder if they'd rather win it at home than on the road?
(tonight's game is in jersey)

Posted by: Craft

I'm thinking they want to win in New Jersey, apparently Shaq's roots are there...

Posted by: maggie

Well, if they win in NJ, at least they'll get to miss most of the riots in LA.

I suppose...

Posted by: nikegurl

riot would be an overstatment. 2 years ago got out of hand - way out of hand but not really a "riot"

last year wasn't a problem. i think people are hoping they finish it off tonight so they can have the parade on friday instead of monday.

Posted by: dvlmn666

that way they won't have to go to work tuesday with hangovers. lol

Posted by: nikegurl

exactly. wonder if kobe and shaq will keep that in mind when they play tonight.

yeah youre probably right however...
Shaq doesnt make the NBA lopsided its the west as a whole Divac and Sabonus and a few others contend enough with shaq to give their teams a fighting chance but all the players that do are from the west..... the lakers its just the lakers didnt have big competition this year (from the east that is)

I hate the lakers too.. hey are overated too me ... but people seem to forget that the year after the bulls dynasty fell the spurs swept the lakers as wel as everyone the played except the finals

Lakers win!

The Lakers really aren't overrated if you think about it. A finals sweep for the third straight title, that says it all right there!

Posted by: TriZZle305

yeah they are a great team im just talkin about when they compare the lakers to the bulls... the bulls were a much better team than the lakers

Posted by: Craft

I'm not too sure the Bulls were a better team, MJ in his prime would out dual Kobe, no questions... Rodman "might" be able to throw Shaq off his game, but again Shaq is over 7' and what? around 340lbs!?
I think it's a tough call, and unfortunately you or I will never know.
Either way... Two great teams with one great coach!

I'll go with the Bulls! It didn't matter who they were up against, Jordan would always step up and find a way to win! Kobe is good, but he will never be Jordan!!

I totally agree, MJ would dominate vs Kobe in his days, but Shaq would still have his way with anyone on the Bulls squad.
Don't get me wrong the Chicago Bulls are long time favorites of mine, but I'm thinking todays Lakers and yesterdays Bulls would be a VERY close game, with the results going either way.

Rodman prooved he could throw shaq off his game when shaq was with orlando.. jordan in his prime beats kobe.. and then they got a bunch of three point shooters and finishers on the team.. (kerr, kukoc, pippen, ron harper) sure the lakers have finishers but not as good as the bulls.... then you got sum pretty big guyz like longley and the guy with the brownish hair- (he had a mullet and beard) not as big as shaq.. but big enough to help rodman.. rodman would probably draw several fouls from shaq and get shaq in foul trouble

IMO the incredi-"bulls" against lakers would be an all time best series no matter what the outcome

Well, Shaq was nothing back then like he is now, nowhere near the same size either. If he was as good then as he is now, Orlando would never have given him up.

I used to be a Shaq hater, but I give him all the credit in the world now.

Posted by: TriZZle305

a shaq hater... i guess you can call me one but i wont say hes not the best in the league and maybe even in time.. hes an animal

The Lakers are going to have pretty much the same team next year. Who can possibly stop them?

Unless a team has an answer for Shaq.... NOBODY will stop them!

Phil Jackson getting #10 + 4-peat would too sweet!

Posted by: TriZZle305

i dunno... the kings will be coming back with experience and they gave the lakers a run for their money last time... i dont think the lakers can get too much better but the kings have lots of room for improvement and look at how good they did without it... just something to consider.. i would like for phil to get 10 tho.. just somewhere besided L.A.
