For my pre-bed meal, would any of the following protein sources be okay?
- Chicken
- Tuna
- Whey
I ask because I can't freaking stomach cottage cheese which is the only good casein source I have available to me. I've tried it all. Tonight I made a fudge thing with PB, SF chocolate pudding, little bit of chocolate way, and a little bit of banana mixed together. I really enjoyed the taste of it but almost threw up afterwards.
Any thoughts?

Look into a casein protein instead then. If you can't do that, then red meat.

CC must be an acquired taste or something, I can't stomach it either. Pre-bed I always just eat 4oz steak and a bunch of lettuce. Maybe adding a TSP or so of PB on some nights if I'm still hungry for some reason.

I have an old tub of egg protein. Tastes like death but would that work is that casein?
Red meat's an idea.

No not the same. Casein is a slow digesting protein.

I'll go with red meat. I like real food not powders. Thank you Jodi.

I think it really depends what CC you buy. I use to hate it, now sometimes look foward to it, and definitely never have an issue eating it.
FYI: I buy 1% Friendship CC, the best I've tried.

Do you eat it straight up or with fruit/something else? No chance in hell I'm even going to try spooning it straight, I could barely stomach the stuff on rice crackers when I tried it.

A good idea to add to whatever you're choosing to eat before bed is a tablespoon or two of a powder fiber supplement like FiberSure or some sort of Flax fiber. It helps to slow down the digestion process, which is best for druing sleep digestion.
