My new side job: MMA Promoter

I have officially started an MMA promotion here in Northern Indiana. My promotion is called Gladiator Elite Cage Fighting and my first event will be held in July of '07.
I've trained MMA for a while now and attended many events, so in my mind I know what it takes to put on a good show. However, I want some input from the MMA-savvy folks on this board...advice, tips, and experiences from anyone who has competed in MMA and from fans as well. What did you like from certain promoters as a fighter? What do you like to see when you attend an event as a fan? As a fan, so you prefer watching a standup war, a ground battle, or a mixture of both throughout the show? Etc, etc.

I like a mixture with a little more standup. I also really enjoy big knockouts or a tapout from a ground battle(like an arm bar or something). what i really dont like is when they just lay on each other on the floor for a long time.
