Actually since the lockout hockey has dramtically improved.

I was a fan of the early to mid 1990's era. Minimal expansion teams, the mullet was in full force, NHL for SNES/Sega, the Bruins and Penguins had a strong rivalry, Ray Bourque, Mario Lemieux and Wayne Gretzky were still around.

Oh I agree. Hockey was at its best in the early 90's, then Bettman came in and fucked up a flourishing league.

However being able to watch the skilled players play again is bringing it back. No way Crosby, Ovechkin, the Sedin Twins, Briere... etc would be able to play the game they are 5 years ago.
