critique program..

A friend of mine has asked me to help him set a program , so i came up with this , pls i want your opinions.

he's 21 yrs old 6/3 feets/inches ,110 kgs (222 pounds) ...he has never lifted weights but lately he started jogging and running and he likes it ...i've convinced him to do some weight lifting for 2 days per week and he's gonna run or jog for the rest of the days for aroung 1 hour per session ...

according to his level of activity considering that he's new to lifting weight and stuff , i'll tell him to get 2500 kcals daily ... and i'll set the ratio to be 40/40/20 as a starting point but maybe i'll make him cycle carbs instead ...

here's the food choices

meal 1
fava beans + cottage cheese + olive oil + 1 fruit

meal 2
tuna + vegetables + 1 hard boiled egg ( call it tuna salad)

meal 3
cottage cheese + olive oil + vegetables (cucumber , carrots , garlic , onion , peppers (green/other) , tomatoes , lettuce )

meal 4
chicken breasts , veggies (peas and carrots for example) + olive oil + fruit

meal 5
either cottage cheese or tuna or any lean protein + flax oil

my questions is ...is the choices god and enough ..if not m do u have any other opinions ?? also what do you think shall i carb cycle instead of 40/40/20 is the calories enough?
