Honey

I see people on this forum adding honey to thing quite a bit. Shakes, oats, oat bran, cottage cheese, etc. It's really the only non-splenda/sweetener that I see people adding to things...no brown sugar, maple syrup (unless its SF), or anything else like that.

So my question is, is honey better for you from a BB standpoint than these other sugary substances are?

I think that's mostly for a PWO shake when you want a quick supply of fast digesting carbs.

Regular store bought honey is garbage. It's stripped of its healthy benefits and its no better for you than table sugar.

However, natural raw honey is known for having health benefits.

natural honey is supposed to be very good. the problem is that it is hard to eat just one serving.

i use honey in my oatmeal, tastes damn good and you only need a little bit

Yeah the natural stuff is great, but it has the consistency of Jello, maybe a bit more firm. I spoon that into my St. John's Wort and Kava tea 'cause they're really bitter and for some reason stevia doens't seem to help those particular ones.

Would you suggest adding it to your diet? It's still mostly sugar right?

Yes, its still sugar but it would be fine for PWO. I personally don't use it though.
