No it doesn't.

I believe the way it works, and this is just a guess, if you edit a post before another post has been made after it, it does not show that it has been edited.

maybe I should upgrade this board...it's currently 5 versions behind!

we're on 2.2.1 and the current version is 2.2.6

To answer the question though, I thought you had x # of seconds after the post in which to edit it without it cumming up edited.

Yeah, I added back some of the hacks and I wanted to make sure that everything was working before I put it back online.

I finally found the answer to this!!!

I have it set in the control panel so that you have 2 minutes to edit a post before it will show the "edited by...".

Yeah, I guess you did! I did not even read your post, I was just going thru thru the admin cp and stumbled across this setting.
