starting Monday in Anaheim....who do ya got winning and in how many games?

Posted by: NordicNacho

Canada doesn't stand a chance. Please

Posted by: IainDaniel

I dunno this is a tough call.

They haven't even played each other in a year and half.

Ottawa is probably one of the hottest teams since January.

But Anaheim is a physical presence.

Should be interesting.

Ottawa in 6

i say anaheim in 7..bound to be close

Ottawa in 5... Anaheim is just not ready for the combination of alfredsson, heatley, and spezza. They ran through pittsburgh, jersey, AND buffalo like nothing.

Ottawa in 6

It should be a good finals. I guess I'll go with the Ducks since I've always liked Teemu.

Interesting that two of the more recent expansion teams are in the finals.

I wanted Buffalo but from the start of these playoffs I had Anaheim and Ottawa. I'd normally root for the Eastern conference team, but I think I want the Cup to stay in the states this year. It needs to.

Anaheim in 7 with teams winning all of their home games.

Well, I don't know....

On one hand the ducks can fly at times and they do play well in the water, but on the other hand, the senators have a lot of power and influence.

It's a tough call.

Quack, Quack, Quack, Quack...

Posted by: Cold Iron

Heart says anyone but OTT (so i guess the ducks, lol)

...BUT the brain says The Hens

#%^&#$

Posted by: emitecaps

Ducks should take it in 6 but I think they may choke and then Ottawa in 6.

Posted by: goandykid

Ottawa in 6, Emery knocks out Anaheim's entire first line in 5 punches.

Posted by: Scarface30

Ottawa in 5...Heatley Spezza and Alfredsson line is doing amazing. they made New Jersey, a very defensive team, look horrible. Ottawa has some players that can dish it, Neil, Fisher, Phillips, Volchenkov all very gritty players.

Ottawa in 5 makes sense, but Im still not convinced about the sens... I fear the ol' coughcoughCHOKE ...

Go sens!

Posted by: IainDaniel

Wow no Respect for Anaheim.

No offence but they are bigger and tougher then the Sens. So if the Sens want to play that type of hockey they will be doomed.

Big thing will be the goalies. Gigerre vs. Emery.

Posted by: Scarface30

I give my dues to Anaheim, they are bigger and tougher, but Ottawa has some gritty players, the kind that get under your skin, Kirk Maltby style, which I think will be a big part. Anaheim has some big lads so yeah if they check hard, Ottawa is in for a battle for sure. Emery and Giguere will be a pretty good match up too, just hope Emery can keep his cool.

I called it in this thread

I had Anaheim over Ottawa in that thread but i think Ottawa is gonna take this series

Edit- I looked again and i was even right about all 4 teams making the semi-finals. Funny thing is, i didn't really follow the NHL this season. Ha!

No way Ottawa can play big bad physical wolf with the ducks... Its gonna be an interesting series for sure.

5:00 PCT on Versus...surprised NBC isn't picking this up..hockey sure has fallen off the radar in the U.S.

Posted by: IainDaniel

NBC Has Saturday and Monday

NBC has the Miss Universe Contest on tonite. We all know Miss Universe will get more ratings in the states.

Sh*t, I shoulda put something on it.

Phillips goal brought back memories, glad it wasn't as critical as it could have been.

Good call, Nut.

Posted by: oaktownboy

LMFAO at all the people who thought Ottawa had it all the way with Anaheim not even having a chance....

Posted by: IainDaniel

Anaheim was a solid team, there was no doubt about it.

Was a really hard series to call coming into it, as they haven't played each other in over a year and a half.

I had an even bigger debate. Who to cheer for. The Senators a Canadian Team or the Mighty Ducks the team with more Canadian Players

Posted by: the nut

It was easy, I picked the team with the most white guys!

And Niedermeyer and Pronger are no joke!

Posted by: IainDaniel

Yeah anytime you have a black guy worried about stopping things instead of stealing things you know you have a problem with your team.
