Anyone else watching the US Open?? It's setting up for an epic finish.

Cabrera +5 17
Furyk +5 16 in the rough
Woods +6 14

Tiger choked. He had an easy birdie putt.

And so goes his continuation of not being able to come from behind and win.

Don't get me wrong he played pretty well. But just failed to make "those" shots, all weekend.

Cabrera played a great round on a very difficult course. That 397 yd drive was awesome. Yes, it's the short game that really counts, but that was still impressive.

Tiger is a lightweight, yeah right. No matter what happens, he will go down as one of the all time greats.

Any one else notice how buff he is looking? I know he has been lifting for awhile, but today it was apparant his upper body is larger. In skill sports, that is not always a good thing.

ya i thought he looked a lot bigger today to

Yeah I noticed, and the announcers mentioned a few times too. At one point one guy said he has "arms like Jim Thorpe."

Cabrera just played a great back 9 even with the 2 bogeys. Props to him.

Yeah he looks bigger, but certainly not ridiculous.

I am sure his routine has quite a bit of flexibility work.

tiger trains hard. I was reading that he benches in the neighborhood of 300lbs.

a lot of these guys have been working on strength training the past couple years because they now see the benefit.

Vijay Singh does a lot of plyo's and med. ball work.

Yeah that was 5-6 years ago. That and he is jogging 5 miles every morning.

I don't think there's such a thing as an easy birdie putt at Oakmont. On each of the last 4 or 5 holes I was waiting for one of his signature approach shots...never happened.

Send me an article that says Tiger benches over 300 lbs. I was discussing that with my Dad today. He's certainly in excellent shape, but bench pressing 300 lbs? I doubt it.

Poor Baddely btw, he sure had a rough day.

I was pulling for him to win it. It really is too bad.

yeah, it was a good final day overall though. There were six different guys that could have won it which is all I ask for in a major. I hate to see one person run away with it and just coast in with pars.

Same. I was reeeeally hoping for a 3 way playoff though.

I just got back from the Open. It was hot and a lot of work. Tough course.

Anyone else see Cabrera smoking a butt while he was walking one of the earlier holes?

He was basically chain smoking the whole back 9 on Sunday, one of the announcers even said something about it.

I'm surprised they allow that. Picture LeBron coming out midway through the 1st quarter and pulling out a Newport and asking the ball boy for a light. I suppose it's not much worse than baseball players chewing though. I just figured they'd tell him not to for the kids' sake.

There are a few guys that smoke out there, you just don't usually see it on TV. I've been to a few events, more smoke than you'd think.

I've seen a lot of them smoking. The announcers that follow them smoke too.

Just curious but why did you choose Newport as the brand?

Haha. I'd say 90% of people who are black that I know smoke em.

I know, just thought that was funny.
