Hello,
Lately I've noticed a pronounced lump around 3 inches above my left testicle, but I suppose it would be better described as at the bottom of my groin. For a bit of a more descriptive way of writing it, pretty much directly to the left of where my penis begins.
It's strange, and it is not painful, not really. It becomes pronounced when I flex my abdominals... it really comes to show itself when I do so. At other times of the day it is non-existant however, but then could randomly show up (weird to say, just sometimes I notice when I go to the bathroom).
If I apply pressure to it, in a stupid "go away" sense, it feels as if the same sensation as if you pressure your testicles. That unpleasing nausiating feeling. Almost exactly like it, but a lot less on the discomfort level. Really just feels like theres gel or something underneath there.
ANY idea on what this could be? Comes to show itself when I flex my abs, like bulges out noticebly. Otherwise it's somewhat hidden by my pubes, so I don't really notice it all too often. Definitly worried though. Head out to USMC training very soon, and I'm hoping this won't turn me around at medical. Hope this is something normal.

Pain at all from the area: Zero, everything functioning fine except for the lump
Strange question I know, but it's begun to worry me a bit, as I havn't the slightest clue what it could be, nor could I find anything online... strange searches when trying, for sure!

possibly inguinal hernia.
I would get tot eh doctor and have it checked out ASAP though.

Well, it doesn't sound like good news...
I read up a bit on the hernia, and it almost describes what I have been experiencing to a T. The only thing that really separates it the absense of pain. Does not hurt whatsoever, and hasn't impacted my training whatsoever.

I injuried my nut about a month and a half ago and the best advice from everybody is go to a doctor asap when anything is near or affects your male parts

Sounds like a variation of a polyneidal sinus.. a cyst that is caused by hard bump or local trauma..like pulling in the wrong direction quickly causing a rupture or strain that bursts something. Maybe a Traditional chinese medical practioner could offer you a topical cream that would take care of the hernia portion and offer you a tea or bag of herbs to brew to resolve any infection that it may have collected from being open.
I wouldn't let it go untended.. you never know what those things could do later.

I would say hernia....they don't always hurt. Peoples pain tolerance is different. What hurts one doesn't bother another. Probably not a big deal yet...don't let it go untreated.

It is probably a floating cyst. Not a huge deal but it should be looked at none the less. You really should re-thing joining the USMC around this time or anytime actually. You will hate your life and never get laid. Plus, you will have to live in a barracks basically until you make E-7 or get married. Join the Air Force or Army, Marines f#ucking suck.

new guy, i have what sounds to be the same thing.
my doctor noticed it during a physical, saying that it was a partial hernia, and that not to worry to much if it didnt hurt, but that in time it will have to be taken care of because it will break throught the rest of the muscle tissue.
i can do anything i want at the gym and it doesnt bug me, but when i havent eaten enough it will cause some discomfort. hope that this might help.
but most definetly have a dr. look at it.
