There seems to be a lot of cat lovers on this site. Myself included of course.

Let us not forget CowPimp's famous Cow kissing Cat.

My kitties purr louder, play harder, and snuggle better than all your peoples cats put together. My kitties rule and my min pin thinks it's a kitty and poops and pees in the litter box!! Oh yeah... my mini pin hates water but my cats like to take baths!! Plus my mini pin loves grapes & broccoli and one of my cats love corn on the cob. If you try to take the corn on the cob be careful you'll get scratched!

must be nice to have cats like that. izzy refused to say inside we got her when she was already a couple of months old she was a wild cat before then but she was sick when we saw her outside of are house so we nursed her back to health then she always would stay outside most of the time and come inside to see how everyone in my family was doing and sometimes leave us a dead bird, bat, or rabbit. she hardly ever ate cat food she would always go out and catch her own food

thanks. he sometimes poops in some totally random place in the bathroom but he's so comical and loving he's well worth a little extra work. one day while i was putting groceries away he was laying on the kitchen floor with his head in a plastic bag. apparently he was "huffing" my son's candy bar wrapper. another time we came home and he was hiding under a big square of wrapping tissue. i said "i see you" n touched the tip of his tail. he pulled his tail in so he was completely hidden n the tissue slowly started moving across the floor.

Gawd, you sound like me . I have a female Golden Retriever, and I always say 'she loves her daddy', well because she does!

Growing up I always had cats, now I have dogs. They both are great. I think dogs are more compatible with humans, but they are also a LOT more work.

Cats use a litter box, you don't have to take time out of your day to walk them so they don't shit all over your house or yard. Cats are very cuddly, and soothing in the sense that you can be relaxing and have your kitty curl up in your lap and purr. They eat less food and often feed themselves if you let them. A lot of dogs bark all the time which can be very annoying and interruptive, they piss on things.... I could do this all day.

Like I said, I like felines too. Being one who is very familiar with cleaning out litter boxes, I would rather have the waste excreted outdoors.

You are a big runner, right P-Max? My GR would help you keep pace for miles, while your kitty sits at home stinking up the house . Oh, and she loves to cuddle, and only barks at suspicious things.

Lobo is the hairy one, this is her first meeting with Fungus (who I think is laying some kind of kitty voodoo down), and Lily is he white one. Fungus and Lily both have hernias that will be repaired when they are spayed. Lobo is an alpha wolf in disguise, under her fur she is tiny but no one fucks with her when it comes to food.

Jersey

this was the night we got Cocoa, we had to wait till the next day to bring him to the vets. He's close to dying in this pic, his eyes were fixed and unresponsive. I think Lobo looks like a little werewolf.

Is cocoa eating now? Is he fine or still having some problems. Do your other cats get along with him?

Jersey is Cocoa's litter mate/sister, she is healthy, glossy, and outweighs him by quite a bit. They were apart 7 months maybe when we got him and she still doesn't like him. Cocoa eats fine now and he's playful with all the kittens. He walks funny because he had a broken leg when he was small , and he's brain damaged and has seizures because he ate 2 klonipin and stopped breathing. Tyler really doesn't want me to get all our cats fixed but I just tell him you never can be sure when you give someone a cat it won't have a life like Cocoa did before we got him.

LW, I think you earned those wings.

When his leg was broken no one even took him to the vets,he learned to walk coping with what must have been excruciating pain, and it healed wrong. It's getting harder to tell him from Jersey now that he's gaining weight and can groom himself but he'll never walk right. You'd think with what he went through he might be mean but it's like he understands and appreciates that he's loved now. I think Cocoa earned the right to a good life by living through hell to make it here.

I have a brother who adopted a massive rotty. Thing was a baby, but saw a lot of shit when he was young. My bro and his wife took him home and immediately trained him and loved him. Now this this 4 year old hulk is babying the baby they just had. It was rough at first, but this goofy dog won over my family. He's the biggest goofball in the world and makes all sorts of duhhhh gesters, but when it comes to the baby, Calvin is extremely serious and looks at people like, if you hurt the baby, I'll snap your nick with my jaws. Animals understand who they love and those that love them, be it cat, dog or whatever.

Posted by: Little Wing

i adopted a huge rottie doberman mix that someone had beaten nearly to death a few months before i got him. Angus was on his chain in his yard when it happened. i'm not sure of the whole story but the cops told me it was a stranger the dog had tried to play with and the guy beat him with a log. it had been in the papers but i never saw the story. the guy was in prison for it when we got Angus. it was scary at fist because he was so huge and i really wasn't sure after having his jaw broken etc how he'd be. he was the goofiest gentle giant ever. he nursed on stuffed animals, loved the snow so much a walk turned into a bounce, and would let even tiny dogs get the upper hand so they'd play with him.
eventually i found out the people that gave him to us had no right to give him away. they were watching him for a guy (that turned out to be my mother's third cousin) that was working construction out of state. he let us keep him till he was permanently settled. i miss Angus but he recognized his first owner and was very happy to see him so it wasn't all bad having to give him back. we also found out it's nearly impossible to find a place to rent with a dog like that no matter how good they are.

Posted by: juggernaut

smae for my bro. He akways has to kennel the dog and pays a lot of money for it, as I cant get near calvin on acct that I am seriously allergic to him. He loves me though.

Goofiest gentle giant....hmmmm...I myself am familiar with that term.

I have a golden retriever named Easton and he is by far the coolest dog on the planet. He is older now but he is still the same chill ass dog. He never barks, never chews anything up, and never destroys the house. He is my best friend and I will seriously ball my eyes out when he dies. I can't count how many times I've woken up on the kitchen floor, after a long night of drinking, and find Easton laying on top of me all cuddled up. Sorry for getting all ghey on ya, but I seriously love my dog.

Posted by: juggernaut

not ghey...COOL. VERY COOL.

My dawg is only 6 but I get scared of thinking of what life will be like when she inst here anymore. Then, I get down on the floor and look at her looking at her daddy with love. Unconditional. Shit I dont even love my 19 year old unconditionally (Kidding). Half the time I wanna put him thru a wall. He's a great kid though. Sort of like my hero. I'm 40 and I have a hero. Now dat's ghey.

Very touching LW. It is people like you that renew my faith in the human race. It takes a lot to care for animals who can't care for themselves. Bravo .

I met a guy at the park last year who took in a Portugese Water dog. When he was a puppy, he was attacked by an adult dog who gouged his eyes out and left him brain damaged. His owners and vets wanted to put him down, but when my friend learned of this unfortunate dog from his daughter (a vet tech), he immediately wanted to take this dog in. He is 4 years now, but a happy well adjusted dog. Although completely blind, he runs thru the woods, dodging trees and obstacles. This man did a wonderful thing.

Posted by: Little Wing

nice. i felt certain Cocoa was going to be blind but he's not. i told the vet we wanted him no matter what his problems were, luckily they are fewer than we expected.

Posted by: JerseyDevil

Fletch and Juggernaut. Both of you guys are very cool, not ghey, and I feel the same. My dog is only 2-1/2, but I already dread that day.

Posted by: Plateau_Max

My dogs are half pit... the other half is like... Dutch... something I keep forgetting... Terrier maybe? I dunno. They have stubby little tails which is cool, and they have fuzzy hair not that hair that feels like skin which I tend to notice a lot of other pits have. They technically belong to my roommate, but I've been living here a long time and they love me all the same and I feed them and they sleep in my room etc etc. They're my dogs haha.

I run them all the time. If you're ever in wichita and you see a guy running down the street yelling "come on! come on! you guys got nothin' on me!" being chased by a couple golden brown Pit Bulls.... that would be me haha.
