I think it depends what kind you have - some are worthy of keeping, some are not - for a girl that is

Nipple piercing - not that fond of it, gets caught on the towel when I dry off..

Clitoral piercing - now that one's worth keeping!

I have an extremely high physical pain threshold. The only time I even flinched during any of my piercings was when I tapered my septum myself by shoving an 8 gauge piercing through a 10 gauge hole. I bled like crazy.

Most people assume that genital and nipple piercings hurt really bad, but they don't if the piercer is any good. It should go "take a deep breathe in, then breath out". Your piercing should be complete on the exhale and the pain should be minimal.
