After much testing I finally found, at least for me, the secret to getting get huge calves for my size (18.5" circum on 5'9" frame). I thought I'd pass these along in hopes it might help others as I hear this is a tough area. By no means am I an expert, just passing along whats working for me.

Again just my training on one area I finally got a handle on. By no means am I an expert, just my two cents. Hope it helps someone

calf = cowpimp's progeny
calve = leg muscle between the ankle and the knee

Then all these people must be confused:

WebMd calf exercises
Standing Calf Raises - Exercise for the Calf Muscles
Calf Exercises - Seated Calf Raises
Bodybuilding.com - Exercise Guides Database.
Standing Calf Raises
Calf Strain (Torn Calf Muscle)
Donkey Calf Raises Exercise | Calf Workout Exercises

Are you sure its not:

calf = single calve muscle
calves = more then a single calf muscle

Is sarcasm getting lost these days?

P.S.
You left out the def for calve:
1.to give birth to a calf: The cow is expected to calve tomorrow.
2.
(of a glacier, an iceberg, etc.) to break up or splinter so as to produce a detached piece. –verb (used with object)

Damn it, now I'm just confused. I thought calve was the back of the lower leg, and calves were the plural form.

I thought a calf was a baby cow.

P.S. This is what part of the alphabet would look like if q and r were eliminated.
