I was wondering what everyone though of fruit in regards to weight loss. I never see any bodybuilding diets for cutting that really involve fruit but it is so good for you! I am trying to lose some weight but love fruit in my morning oatmeal, my post workout shake and possibly as a snack. My usual picks are strawberries, blueberries, oranges or apples. I know they aren't fattening, but is there just too much sugar in them? And what is a good amount per day of fruit to eat, without it really affecting weight loss! Thanks

It all comes down to Cals in vs. Cals out. I would say 2-3 servings of fruit a day is fine.

I usually have pineapple about 2-3 times a day.

I guess what i am also wanting to find out is if there is such thing as fibrous fruits? there is always mention of fibrous veggies

When cutting, I feel that berries, grapefruits, peaches, pears and apples are the best choices. Maintenance and bulking, any fruit.

Beans are not only fiberious, but they are also the musical fruit.

I dont eat any fruit. Thouse satan sugars raise triglyciride levels.

but seriously, look up post by emma-leigh regarding fruit.

Some of your better options:

Apples,
blueberries (high vitamin c),
strawberries,
raspberries,
bananas,
pineapple (great for cutting and has a good source of digestive enzymes.... great evening fruit).
grapes (excellent, skin contains resveratrol, a cancer fighter)
if you want to talk fibrous fruits: prunes, dates, plums, figs <--- our Grandparents know all this stuff
