I weigh 135 pounds..im 15
My body fat % is 9.5
I work my abs very often, and I can feal a nice six pack under a small layer of fat. Is it possiable to get rid of this? I used to have a 16% body fat percentage 3 months ago, but I have been running 7 miles a day, and eating MUCH healthier.

how do you know your body fat is 9.5% ?

I used a body fat machine..the one where you put your hands on the metal, and hold the small michine in front of you with your arms extended.

Those machines are not acurate at all !!
Get a caliper test from a fitness instructor!
I think abs start to show around 8% (is that right guys)

would it be unhealthy for me to set my target fat percentage at...say 5%?? Is that too low?

At that percentage you wont put on any muscle mass you'll probably start losing it.
Your body needs a layer of fat for insulation etc 8-10 % is a good level i rekon (go below that when you want to show off at the beach or something like that)
The guys will correct me if i'm wrong

you are 15 and 135 lbs to get to 5% bf you would probably end up at 125 lbs or so. why do you want your bf to be so low ?

Yes, that's really unhealthy, there's no reason for you to have your bodyfat so low. Your 15 years old....now is your opportunity to grow, you should not be trying to cut to 5%, you should be trying eating like crazy (healthy foods) and working out hard in the gym so you can gain some muscle and grow.

I don't think people your age should be worrying about thier weight so much, and like was said you'd end up girl-size if you lost more weight - and yes its well known the electronic-resistance measure tests are not accurate, sorry charlie.

I agree with all that is said above. Use your metabolism now to gain some good lean mass. Would you rather be 185 and ripped at 25 or 135 and ripped at 15? Think long term gains, you have many years ahead of you in fitness if you keep at it.
