Is it alright to just chug some raw eggs instead of cooking them? I really don't have the time to scramble eggs in the morning altough its very short, I just dont have the time.

From what I've previously read on this board I don't think it's a good idea. I really can't remember why however.

I usually make an omelette the night before, leave it in the fridge and eat it cold in the morning for breakfast. The Italians call it a frittita.

Ahhh....the old Rocky Balboa diet. I tried it as a kid after seeing Stallone chuck them down, I almost thew up.

Just boil your eggs the night before and they should be ready to eat.
Then again, it doesn't take the long for boiled eggs, just boil them while your in the shower.

Raw eggs for health

I highly recommend consuming raw eggs as a way of making sure you get high quality protein and fats into your diet.
Why would anyone eat the eggs in a raw form? Heating the egg protein actually changes its chemical shape, and it is this change in the protein structure which can easily be a cause of allergies. The heating also destroys many of the nutrients and proteins found inside the egg.
What usually pops in people's minds when you talk about raw eggs are the risks of being infected with salmonella.
There is no doubt that salmonella is a serious infection. Its symptoms include diarrhea, abdominal pain, nausea, vomiting, feve, chills. The symptoms of salmonella food poisoning can strike anyone, but they're more likely to hit 3 groups: the elderly; children; and people with HIV, cancer, or other diseases which impair the immune system.

Ive actually heard the opposite -- that the protein in raw eggs isnt bioavailable, whereas by heating the egg somehow your body can process more of the protein contained within?

I would love it if its cool to eat them raw, since I get sick of eating cooked eggs every day and would prefer to be able to just choke down some raw ones in a few seconds in the mornings.

I was suprised to find out that you can make scrambled eggs in the microwave, just mix them up, pop them in and stir them every 30-45 seconds, they come out fluffier than frying them too...

I wouldnt eat raw eggs... just not a good idea these days

What's wrong with boiled eggs, they are easier to swallow in one shot.
