muscle size/strength potential

this really has no training relevance or anything, just something I was wondering if anyone had any info on.

do muscle fibres, given a certain size, only carry a certain potential in strength? I know you would still gain size, but can strength gains be limitless?

an example, a crappy one at that, would be; if someone had say 10' biceps, if they only trained strength could they eventually DB curl something like 150lbs or more, but yet still only have 10' biceps?

it's probably a dumb and simple question, but I was just wondering about this the past few days.

Pfunk gave an analogy once that I really liked, so I'll throw that out here.

Muscle is like a glass, and strength is like the water filling the glass.

You can fill the glass up to a point, but past that you need to have a bigger glass to fit anymore water in.
