vitamin K - not in multi-vit/min.... why?

My fitday reports show I'm not taking in anywhere near the RDA of vitamin K. I checked my multivit/min and it has none in it. Why would that be?
Also, wikipedia says it's made in the intestine and deficiency is very rare. Should I consider supplementing it, or is this not advisable?
Just curious.

Don't go by fitday....get a bloodtest if you really need to be sure.
That's a fat-soluable vitamin, meaning it can accumulate and become toxic to the body. I wouldn't supplement unless a doc told you to.
High dosing Vitamin A and E can interfere with vitamin K absorption (or so I've read).

Vitamin K is fat soluble and it does build up in the system very easily. Have you ever heard your grandparents complaining about blood clots? They are very painful and can lead to grangrene and sometimes death in severe cases. Vitamin K is a blood clotting agent. All the other vitamins in your multivitamin are relatively benign and can't hurt you. It's a different world these days, and vitamin brands have to tread cautiously because everyones trying to find a reason to sue. There's your answer.
