I bet it is, if you spend any length of time in Oregon or any of the other "not yet trashed" states in the US, it makes places like San Francisco look like the dumps they are, crap all over the streets, sidewalks, etc

Seriously......canadians are everywhere! Especially along the coast of NC and SC! Cost of living is much lower!!!!!!!!!!!!!! They find homes at half of what they pay up north and in Canada!

Skiing in the fall/winter, mountain biking in the spring/summer. What else do you really need to do?

How true! I arrived there about 8PM and almost no lights were on anywhere, I was like WTF, this is like Steven King... like there was probably a big bonfire in the center of town and some sacrafices going on... Another thing, it rains alot there, cold as frick in the winter (not compared to Kanada I guess), and yeah, not exactly party land which suits me just fine.

Snow is a piss poor indication of temperature. The poles are a couple of the dryest places on the planet but you don't hear people bragging about how balmy they are. Mild? Compared to WHAT? Your definition of mild would probably send me and my water thin blood straight into shock.

Me also! During the winter here in NC, we get some days in the 60's and 70's! I remember Dero saying how cold it was in the spring.......like 10 degrees and below......If we ever get one night at 10 degrees it is a major thing!!!! I water my grass all winter and the hoses rarely ever freeze!!

I dunno, I live in NM. Closest place to ski is 20 minutes away, and all kinds of MTN bike trails within easy reach as well. Food is great, and it doesn't get that cold here. Doesn't rain much, but...

I have tour the US and Canada extensively and the only other places I would move to,from Ontario would be:

In Canada:
British ColUmbia(oops),the Vancouver area,yes Whistler
does ROCK!!!

In the US:
Colorado,Oregon,No CAL(north of San Francisco,as far
as possible from LA)
I like da green spaces,I NEED DA GREEN SPACES!!!!
(Thank GAWD I'm a COUNTRY BOY!!!!)

I would NEVER be one of those Cannucks dat moves to Florida...
(Snowbirds dey are called)
...and BTW CANADA is NOT for sale!!!!

I am from Hawaii and Florida and a few years in the carribean and lived in those places until I moved to Canada 3 yrs ago.. Prince Edward Island. the winters are still shocking and I have to go back south a few times minimum per year.

I am fortunate to live only a few miles from the beach I think its 3 miles. I have always lived near the ocean.. My family does have a cabin in the mountains in Colorado though.. near Conifer.

They do come in Droves.. The Japanese love it here.. I have rental units and they are taken up with toursits from Japan often in the summer. its quite neat.. its the story of Anne that they go ga-ga over.. alot of exchange students as well... I was raised around alot of asian peoples and I love being near the culture through thier visits as much as I can.. Domo Ori'gato. ( yah I suck at japanese tho.. )

Hey Coolie!!! Not this time......saw all the boys come thru the airport not that long ago.......great bunch of guys...more than happy to stop and chat........unlike the British!!!!

Can't help bad luck ......the poor Brits are coping a floggin' but what can you expect half of them are either injured or about to be!!!!!! Had to laugh...every English male who comes thru the airport now gets asked if they are coming to replace the team or not!!! Even the old boys (70's +) say they could do a better job!!

Used to go to the cricket when the Indies and the Sri Lankin teams played......now that was cricket!!!!
