New to this forum, but not to the weight room…looking to get a yay or a nay from guys who have been in the weight room a long time already, and actually have tried different types of supplements. I’ve lifted for years, but without any supplements..I mean I do take the basics: whey protein, glutamine, creatine, dhea and tribulus, and of course stay on a solid diet. To cut to the chase, I’m thinking of trying a few different supplements in addition to what I’m using now. They are NOXPLODE, Nitrix, and Cell Mass, all from BSN. My question is this-if the nitric oxide and hyped up creatine products do indeed work in thee first place, are the gains they give you really worth all it costs to use them per month? Any solid answers to my question would really be appreciated. Thanks.

how old are you?

here is my critique of what you take, and what you are asking about...

whey protein - good choice.

glutamine - a complete waste of money.

creatine - excellent.

dhea - why? unless you are over 50 you are taking a prohormone that is most likely converting to estrogen in your body.

tribulus - complete waste of money, unless you really need a libido booster.

NOXPLODE - i feel is a waste, but some people love it. it is caffeine, NO precursors and a sprinkle of creatine. if you want energy and a pump, you can do far better, but it isnt bad. the effects fade though.

Nitrix - NO product, no need if you are taking NO-Xplode and you still can do far better.

Cell Mass - decent creatine product imo, i take issue with labeling it as a post workout recovery drink and it is simply a creatine that can be taken pre or post.
