I just read the book NHE, that w8 mentioned a while back (thanx a lot w8 - who knows when I would have found out about it), and I think it's a great book. It explaines a lot that w8 and Dp talk about. Does anyone here have it and what do you think of it?

I have it. It's a great book, absolutely one of the best I've read on maintaining general health, and for BB in general.

Some of the stuff in it came as a surprise (to me anyway), but after following it's principles for a few months now, I feel better and better yet.....look better. It works for me.

Something else you may want to check out is: http://www.mercola.com . W8 taps this site here and there, but there is alot of other good info posted on it.

(I'm cheating this week. Beer, BBQ and whatnot....but what the hell.) I'm celebrating.

lmao....actually, we need to spank DP for the mercola site, and Chicken Baby for the NHE

Where can you get a copy of the book?
Oh and hey W8, how do yuo make a Hormone?

Don't pay her!!!! hahahahahahah

hey w8, how else do you make a Hormone?

Kick her in the shin! hahahhaha oh damn that was funny. those were straight from my Bio professor in college, he was teacher od the year, and a all around bad joke telling guy....

Vale Tudo, to buy the book go to www.extique.com

To Stickboy or anyone who knows:
What do you think about his advice on training? I started sticking to limiting my workouts to 45 min., to make sure, since I've been training for a long time and built up to a good intensity. I am not sure about the cardio part. he says you can do cardio on your off days, but does that go for high intensity cardio, meaning intervall / sprint training as well, or only for the moderate intensity kind? He does prefer intervall training, but does it interfere with the anabolic phase following the day after weight training or not?

Well, Faigin says he used the methods in the book for his training, and he's got a pretty good build on him. To me his recommendations make sense although I stick with what I did before I read the book.

Personally, I'm a cyclist so regardless of what kind of cardio is recommended (by anyone) I stick with my bike. When I'm riding for workout reasons I wear a HRM and keep my heart rate at about 80% of MHR and ride for 20-25 miles. (I also have to take a mandatory VO2 test every year since I'm in the USAF, so I want to make sure I pass ). I would think intervals would be great, but a steady ride works best for me.

Me, I don't do a cardio workout after leg day simply because my legs are pumping the entire time I am on the bicycle. Besides, I normally don't feel like riding a bike the day after doing squats.

Hmm, I don't think I answered your question.

NHE = ace book.

A bit too much focus on GH for the diet, but at the end of the day the diet works.

No, not really - does anyone here know the answer regarding high intensity intervall training and if it interferes with the anabolic phase of the day after lifting according to Faigin? I just startet following his program, and decided to do only 20 min intervalls today (I lifted mon & wed)

Take a look at his "Ask Rob" section on his website. I browsed it along time ago, and there are answers to this or that in that section. Not sure your question is answered there, but it might be worth a shot.

Thanx, but I already did read the whole section. I wrote him an e-mail regarding this, I keep you posted if he answers.

NHE is an excellent read even though some of the particulars within the book have become outdated with new research

What are you referring to?

Posted by: ac

i know this is an old topic but i was wandering if anyone knows were you can buy NHE in the uk, thanks ac

Posted by: The_Chicken_Daddy

Ac, from www.bodybuilding.com or www.extique.com

You'll have to pay a few squids shipping but it's not gonna break the bank.

P.s. there aren't any places i the Uk that stash it. I already mailed Rob about this and he asked if i could suggest where would hold it but i wasn't sure. He doesn't want it in places like Dillons book store or amazon etc...
