Please Help With Diet

I'm looking for a diet to lose weight and get cut, does anybody know of anything? Someone recommended Body For Life, but I looked it over and it tells you to eat portions but doesn't tell you the size. I need a diet that will tell me how much to eat and when, etc.

Actually the Body 4 Life method does tell you the size. If I remember correctly it states not to eat anything bigger than your clinched fist. So, take mashed potatoes for instance. Spoon out enough to which it equals the size of your clinched fist. That's how much you should eat for carbs. You do this method for both protein and carbs.

You need to find out your BMR/AMR, go here to do a quick calculation. http://library.thinkquest.org/10991/bmr.html?tqskip=1

Then determine how much you want to lose, one pound per week is a good start. Subtract 500 calories from your total daily AMR. Break out the calories to 6 meals per day. This will put you on target to lose one pound per week.

Make sure that your eating one gram of protein per pound of bodyweight.

Hope that helps a little.

Record everything you eat for a week, add up the calorie totals of all of this food. Check the scale, if you weigh the same this is your maintenance level, if you weigh one pound more, that's 500 extra cals you're taking in. Get the idea?

then take this number and multiply it by .50 and divide that number by 4. There's how many grams of protein to eat. Take the calorie total and multiply it by .35 and divide by 4, there's how many grams of carbs to eat. Now take that total and multiply it by .15 and divide that by 9, that's how many grams of fat to eat.

Take these numbers and divide them into 6 meals. Split your total carbs 50% between breakfast and post-workout, and the remaining 50% split into your remaining 4 meals.

Drink a gallon of water per day, get yourself an ECA stack and perhaps some green tea, take a multivitamin/mineral, and maybe some glutamine or NAC...and tyou're all set.

Stay away from ECA's until you know how many calories to consume. Use them as a last resort.

Yes they can help. But like you said in another thread, you need to learn how to lose fat naturally first. Using ehpedrine & caffeine will make it difficult to learn how many calories you need to consume for maintenance.
