I'm pretty certain I have strep throat. I have had a bad sore throat for about 3 days. No other cold like symptoms which I read is typical for strep throat. I may have a slight fever but nothing bad. I checked my throat today and noticed the white patches on the tonsils which is usually evident of strep.

Anyway, I will schedule an apt. with the doc tommarow but I have not been able to sleep because my throat feels like shit and gets scratchy as fuck. I took 600 mgs of ibuprofin last along with some chloraseptic spray as well as some menthol lozenges, it didn't do too much. I still couldn't really fall asleep. I could use some remedies for the night, any interesting methods that works for you guys?

You could ask the doc for a sample of Ambien to last you long enough to get over the strep. Also, NyQuil rocks. I could drink 1/3 of a big bottle each night when I have strep.

NyQuil and Sudafed. Almost no matter had bad it is, that shit'll put you down.

But you need to get Sudafed, too. NyQuil took out the ephedrine when it was banned from OTC drugs. So you need to buy both and take them together.
