As any woman will testify, retail therapy can fix almost any problem. And, apparently, we love it so much, we think it's better than sex.
A survey of more than 2,000 people showed that a third of Britons believe work productivity increases after a shopping trip.
And 78 per cent said they found hitting the shops brought them more pleasure than hitting the sack with their partner.
Retail outlet Grand Arcade carried out the survey and centre manager Tracy Hulme, said: "We all know how therapeutic a good retail therapy session is.
"There's a lot of research which indicates it's good to step away from your work to recharge, and shopping is a top way to unwind."
