I am a student at manchester met university in the uk and I am doing a research project looking at aas use.
I am currently trying to recruit former and current aas users to complete a 5 minute questionnaire about some of the motivations for using steroids as well as more general training and supplement type questions.
The aim of the research is to present the opinions of users and former users themselves, and hopefully try and counter some of the negative stereotypes that the media hold about steroid use.
I have encountered opposition and suspicion in doing this research, but I have attached my participant information sheet to prove the legitimacy of my study - it contains my e-mail address and that of my supervisor.
The questionnaire responses will be 100% anonymous.
If anyone would be interested in learning more about the study, or taking part you can pm me or e-mail me on wires1fan@yahoo.co.uk.
Thank you for your time, I do appreciate the sensitivity of the issue for some people and I will treat any information in the strictest of confidence.

Hi,
I am really struggling to find former AAS users, and with my deadline approaching, I would be very grateful for any help at all.
Once again, I will stress that the study is completely anonymous - you can print a fake name on the consent form as well.
Thanks,
Becky

Sorry no lol.
Seriously though, this is a legitimate study for my university degree and i'd be really grateful if anyone could help. I have had a good response from people so far and have found it to be very interesting.
