okay.....Ima lay it out there......
found the Jamie Eason thread about a month or two ago (HolyS(*$Y@*)!!
and I've been struggling to get back in the rhythm of what I know is a good thing. I'd been pretty hardcore back in '00 - 03 and was gearing up for a run at amateur competing.... well, needless to say, that ain't the news of today.
I have a 24hr membership year round and only about 3 miles from the gym. I enjoy it and it works for me (good people) I'm just really having a bear of a time gaining momentum for sustained "auto-pilot" rhythm (up in the am, then hitting it after work).
Love everything on here - maybe just need someone to kick me in the balls - but I'm all ears - thanks.

thanks for all the help, folks.
I 'started' officially 26 December....at 316.
I have gotten down to 266 (today) and plan to go another 50 by years end.
The advice about the weights really paid off, otherwise I would've been spinning my wheels with high-bouts of cardio and trying to make a feeble attempt to get under a bar.
Mostly doing pyramids of the major muscle groups (Legs, Chest, Back.........uh, lots and lots of squats and cleans) and a bout of yoga every other day.
Thanks for all the encouragement.
