well, im lookin to get "cut up" and i was told to start taking whey protein. i had a 5 gallon from my uncle that left it here so ive been taking that before working out and after. what would you guy's suggest? keep taking it or not?

okay my current weight is 200-202(got a bit of muscle) or so and im 6'2-3. im looking to loose around 15-20 pounds or so of fat and gain around like 5-10 of muscle.

i have chocolate 100% whey protein and im starting to workout everyday (cant run till atleast the 27th when i see the heart doctor because of chest pains) the weights that i have is a curl bar, bench, olympic bar with around 300 pounds, place to do tricept dips, a ab lounge, a set of 25 pound db's, and a place to do pull-ups. can someone set up some routine for me also?

My suggestion would be to read the sticky topics both in training section and diet + nutrition section.

The first on how to set up a training program, and the second on how to manage your diet.

Just taking whey protein has no bearing on whether youll gain or lose weight, just on how much protein you're taking in.

Losing or gaining weight is about total diet management. If you're taking more calories in than youre using youll gain weight, if you're using more calories than you're taking in youll lose weight.

Read those stickies and post up a program/diet program for critique in the relevant sections.

okay well i looked over it all and i saw it and im going to be finishing up making one pretty soon. also another question i have is, is doing sets of back rows with 80 pound dumbbells for 2-3 sets of 10 good for someone who's never worked that part out?

Doesn't really matter. I would suggest doing it if you feel comfortable doing it. If it feels like there's too much stress in a spot, reduce the weight to avoid injuries. If you can get off 3 sets of 10, than that should be perfectly fine. I'm not an expert though, but generally your body will let you know if you're lifting to much/to little
