total cals 240
fat 13g
sat fat 6g
sodium 220mg
total carbs 22g
dietary fiber 10g
sugars 1g
sugar alcohol 0
protein 18g

im sorry if this should be in the healthy recipe subsection but its kind of dead over their anyways.

the brand is Atkins advantage and they taste ok.
one thing that is kind of misleading is that is says only 2 net carbs on the front of the package. where are the other carbs if it says 22 total? all the other ones ive seen in stores either have too much sugar or too much sugar alcohol which im not too fond of. ive made the homemade ones but sometimes a packaged one can be favorable since they keep better at room temp and im not supposed to have stuff in the fridge. also the pb makes them so chewy that they take a few minutes longer to eat compared to to pre packaged ones. im only eating these as maybee one meal a day when i dont have time to stir up some whey.I wait tables and my bosses are nazi's so i have be by my tables at all times so making whey shakes can be hard sometimes.
what do you think of the macros?
any other brands you recommend prior to me perfecting my protien bar recipe?

could just make ur own. bars like these have a lot of sugar alcohols which upset my stomach and create funny noises if they work for u great!

IMO the best protein bars out there are the GREENS+ ones. Plus they taste awesome (seriously).

I LIVE on these bars, and I have for over 3 years, stuck with them even when they changed them a little. The only 2 good flavors are Penut butter granola and chocolate granola bar. Does not taste fake. I have one for breakfast everyday!! I have a VERY sensitive stomach and the bars are wonderful for me!! I even have a few coworkers on them. They are expensive, but well worth it!!

the chocolate peanut butter is the shit. i like the granola ones but try the reg chocolate pb! these make me slack on making my own even though when i make them myself they are only like 50cents a bar.

Posted by: danzik17

Pfft. Just mix up a protein shake and then eat a teaspoon of PB immediately following. That's my method for getting a nice chocolate peanut butter taste.

i do make shakes at work as well but when i eat my 8:00 meal usually is right in the middle of the dinner rush and we are not allowed to keep food in the fridge ect so i have to be all stealth about it.sometimes i am so busy i almost forget. having a bar in my pocket or stashed in some nook is the only way to insure a quick meal. my homade ones take twice as long to chew as the atkins ones and i have to keep them in the fridge.

yeah homemade is def. the way to go if you want them to be perfectly balanced and all natural

but they do require a little extra attention on the storage
and they are definitely a little more time consuming to eat

Posted by: Ben dur

that being said at 240 cal. id probably eat 2 for a meal
and then they really start getting expensive

Posted by: thorough

at 480 that would not only be expensive but a bit much for my daily requirements.im only 155 pounds and on a cut. 240 is a bit under my meal average but not by much. i do eat 5-6 meals a day though with a slighly larger one for my 3rd meal.

there quick to make and cheap. they just have to be refridgerated or they become a gooey mess.

480
5 meals

2400 cal
sounds like a decent calorie intake for a moderate cut (for me 172lbs)

but
i dont think eating 10 of these a day would be a good idea

Posted by: Ben dur

100g of fiber might not be fun

130g of fat seems a little high
180g of protein seems pretty low

but for a single meal 2 of them would be a quick fix for me...
that being said. i still make my own
