Would this routine be fine? I do abs 1-2 times per week.

Mon: OFF
Tue: Shoulders
Wed: Back/Biceps
Thu: OFF
Fri: Chest/Triceps
Sat: Legs
Sun: OFF

Seems fine to me... it's pretty much the same as mine.

What are your goals, and how long have you been training?

What is your diet like?

Put shoulders on the same day as chest/triceps.

No real need for them to have their own day. Otherwise youll have 3 upper days and only 1 lower day.

The split isnt nearly as big a factor in the success of a program as most people give it credit for, though.

Agreed. As long as it's balanced appropriately in regards to what your goals are and other physical activity you do, and it allows for appropriate recovery time, I've found it doesn't really matter.

Some people just seem to think the split is all they have to worry about, and the only thing that they can vary to make a program work or not, lol. Nevermind all the other stuff!

The one warning I'll offer is to avoid working shoulders and chest on the same day - although many find this approach works well, it is a LOT of strain on the rotator cuff. I prefer to work chest with back, and lats with delts so as to avoid this problem - but then, I have shoulder issues and I'm old.

To the OP, if you find your shoulders are giving you grief, the obvious places to look are, in no particular order:

Nothing wrong with this split, I've done very similar splits many times. The shoulder workout should probably be your shortest. You don't need much volume at all, they get hit a lot on other days.
