OK, after a seriously long hiatus, I've gotten back in the gym. One of my problems remain the same: gaining weight too quickly
It seems no matter how clean I eat, whether my goal is to gain weight or lose it, I pack on the pounds way too quickly even with cardio in my routine. Never in my life have I had this issue, as I could always eat anything and never gain a pound, of course up until a few years ago when that all changed.
My thyroid is normal in case any of you ask, but since I'm trying to cut down on weight, anything I eat seems to stick to me, which makes it rather difficult to stick with any diet.
It seems I must avoid all carbs for this to not be a problem, but I know carbs are necessary for fuel and the body needs them. Do any of you have recommendations on how to possibly help? If you offer advice on supplements to take, I'd rather take something that isn't a stimulant...I don't trust such things anymore.

Are you worried about gaining weight or gaining fat? Do you gain weight or do you gain fat. Whats your weight, age, What does your diet look like on a daily average and how many calories are you taking in.

I'm not worried so much about gaining weight, as I know that happens when you put on muscle. My concern is gaining any form of fat. I'm trying to get rid of the fat I have now and put on muscle, but not necessarily bulk up, that will come later. I'll have to add up my daily calories and stuff later tonight, don't have that on hand at the moment. My calories should be around 2,400, although I have to double check..

I do cardio at least 3-4 times a week so that's not an issue.

ok good. Because gaining weight and gaining fat are not synonymous so don't stress out about it in the mean time.
