I've been experiencing symptoms consistent with Carpal Tunnel syndrome(shooting pain along the Radial aspect of right wrist along with tingling & numbness on that side) that has gotten worse over the last week. I'm going to see an Orthopedic doc next week to confirm the diagnosis.

I'm in the middle of a bulk and have made good progress- 10 lbs in approx 2 1/2 months without adding too much flab. I haven't done any upper body exercise within the last week.

I guess all I can do for now is Legs/Abs till I get my CTS taken care of.\

Suggestions from anyone that has been in a similar situation?

Thanks.....

If I continue to train legs/abs only for the next couple of weeks till my Carpal tunnel stuff is figured out, will I lose much mass?

Can I do any any upper body exercises using only my left upper extremity that will not create asymetry & still give me some kind of an upper body workout?

I just hate to see all the hard work I put into this bulk going down the drain.

Any help is appreciated.

This is so frustrating. Finally when I think I've got my nutrition, training and supplements somewhat figured out and making gains, this happens.....

Hmm..do you mean that you have symptoms of Carpal tunnel on your right hand for which you'll seeing a doc soon. And in the meantime, your not doing any upper body workout?

These are my questions you should ask yourself:

1) Will doing squats/legs/Abs help preserve some of your upper body mass? Are you in the middle of a bulking regimen if you don't mind me asking?

2) Should you do any upper body exercises sparing your right arm that will not create asymmetry and help preserve some of the mass that you've painstakingly gained in the last few months?

These are 2 questions that you really have to ask yourself.

You got me there. I've tried to research this topic, but haven't found much answers. That's all I've been asking myself. Any answer to question #2? I guess, I got to get creative and come up with some crazy assed routine to keep my bulk going.....
