What would be a good cycle for someone who has been working out for a year, weighs 180, and is 6'0? Would like a little more definition in my upper body; maybe add 10lb's.
I should also add that I'm 37 and currently use cellmass and protein.

What kind of cycle are you looking at? I think you could get more out of some nat test boosters or a different creatine

You want to gain 10lbs, you don't need a cycle for that. I hear food works well.

I don't want anything extravigant. Preferably nothing that will require a PCT, at least not at this time. A test booster?? I did consider the Novadex by Gaspri, but have seen mixed reviews on it.
I did try the XPlode (BSN) seemed to do alright with it, but thats been months ago.
I've been following some of the posts but they seem to be a little harsh or they are products that I've not heard of.
I would like to add a few (10 -15) pounds and then cut it in. Any suggestions will be helpful. I contiously try to take in 1 gram of protein per lb of body weight. I feel like I'm on my way just need a kicker.

Nothing is going to make you gain weight if you aren't eating enough. The fact that you mentioned how many grams of protein you were eating and not how many calories you are eating is a clear indication of your lack of understanding of diet. You need to eat more if you want to gain weight. You don't need to spend money on any 'cycle' to put on 10lbs. I notice how you completely ignored my first post, as do most people who ask these kind of questions, so is this the response you wanted....

Hey man, use "insert overpriced supplement here". It will make you gain that 10lbs of pure muscle despite your lack of understanding of calorie intake and diet in general.

Would these ingredients require a PCT?

Estra-4 9-Diene-3 17-Dione, 13-Ethyl-3-Methoxy-Gona-2, 5(10)-Diene-17-One, 3, 17 Ketoetiochol-Triene, Silymarin Extract, TPGS

I didn't ignore it; it just didn't warrant a comment.

I personally enjoyed the BSN "mass stack" That is NoXplode, Nitrix, and Cellmass. However I understand that BSN is slightly overpriced so if you are low on funds this won't be a good fund for you.

I believe superpump 250 works just as well as NoXplode and it is cheaper.

Make sure you take a Multi vitamin too. I also recently started taking creatine ethyl ester caps and it feel like my strength has been going up steadily so look in to that as well...

But the person who commented on your diet is right. Supplements are like the icing on a cake. There is no point to having it without your foundation being sound. A sound foundation in this case is a good workout routine and a SOLID diet. I truly believe that if people would really fix their diet they would see better results than they have ever dreamed. Try looking at the stickies in the diet section!

The fact that this guy is 6' and 180lbs and wants to do a cycle in order to gain 10lbs is ridiculous. Anyone telling him to do anything but eat should be ashamed.

Despite the fact that most people would say you're too small to do a cycle, and we'll also ignore the fact that you don't understand how to properly diet-I could see if you wanted to gain 25 or 30lbs, that would warrant a more serious discussion. In most forums, you would get laughed at for being 6 feet 180lbs and claiming you need a cycle to gain 10lbs. Not because people make fun of smaller guys, but because it's just dumb.

Thanks for the info

First off, 1 gram of protein per lb. of bodyweight isnt enough...so your diet isnt where it needs to be. Figure out your macros(protein, carbs, fat) amd maintenance cals for a typical day, increase that by 500-800 cals/day of good clean food. Should see ten lbs in roughly 8-10 weeks, 2-3 of it being fat if you work out properly, then go on a cut, lose the fat and and a couple pounds of lean muscle. Rinse repeat until you get where you like what you see in the mirror. Food is the only thing that will make you gain. Everything out there, esp any AAS, are only synthesized by your food intake(esp protein). Not enough food=not enough synthesization=lack of gains in lean muscle.

Thanks I'll try that, but my wife will bitch about the groceiry bill

Although Tx is right, I won't be so harsch with my comments. It is true that your diet must come first. Supplementation will only work if you are taking in the right amount of nutrients. Get that stuff in line. From the sounds of it, you need to do more research. I base that off the fact that you listed NO-xplode as a creatine, which it is not. It is a caffeine+arginine supplement that should be used only pre workout, not as your creatine source. I actually used BSN's mass stack as well at one time, and absolutely loved the way it made me feel all day long, although it didnt put alot a mass on me and it was a little pricey for my liking.

Stoner, do you know how many calories a day you currently consume? I bet we could put extra food on your plate and mass on your body without breaking the bank.

Posted by: TexanTA1996

I didn't mean to sound harsh, but some people won't listen unless you hit them with the truth.

One thing that he needs to understand is that he's going to have to buy/eat more food even if he does a cycle of some sort. If you're concerned about the cash, don't be spending money on something you don't really need (a PH, some test booster or other product) when all you need is the nuts and bolts of a good diet.

I think one thing everybody has been forgetting is that he mentioned he has been working out for about a year! Sorry dude, you're clearly not ready for a cycle. And if you DID do a cycle, I would put money you would probably lose almost ALL OF IT. I don't mean to sound harsh but, steroids are no joke. You need to have everything under your belt before f*cking with them.

Including diet, training and recovery.

I would first look at upping caloric intake and keep pounding away at the creatine and protein.

Yes that would require a pct.

After reading the posts above I've come to realize that what I'm looking for is a "stack" like one person mentioned.

I used the wrong terminology. I am beginning to believe that anything that has "drol" in it's name is a stereroid.

I want something to go a long with what I am currently using (cellmass, whey).
You guys are pro flamers, keep up the good work.

You're a pro at ignoring good advice from people who are trying to help you:

a) Stay healthy.
b) Get the best gains possible in the LONG term.
c) Save your hard earned cash.

Have some patience, you've been working out for a year, man. In real terms thats flip all, you're just getting started.

I put on about 80lbs in my first 4 years of training, and i only slowed down because i injured myself by making a stupid mistake.

Don't make your own stupid mistake, and instead listen to what these people are telling you instead of going on the defensive after not hearing what you wanted to hear.

At 180lbs and 6'0" you can easily add a LOT more mass by diet management and proper training. In fact, without those things you wont even keep your gains after your cycle has finished.

If you want to waste money, time, and risk your health by all means take this cycle prematurely. If you want to actually achieve your goals, stop throwing your toys out of your pram and start learning.
