So much involved here, how long have you been training? How long do you train? How many sets and reps? How is your diet?
How much sleep are you getting per night?? We need more information, you could be over training, under-eating, etc....

if your just starting this is to be expected for your first couple workouts

good pre and post workout nutrition should help this out

a little caffeine and arganine could also help this out

caffeine and arganine dilate the blood vessels and increase circulation
getting proper post workout nutrition should help get vital nutrients into the muscle and help kick start the rebuilding process

if your just getting into, or BACK into it
your likely to limp around and massage your own pecs for a few workouts

by your 3 time working a particular muscle, you should feel little "pain" the following day

Like the previous posts, there could be many reasons why you're feeling so sore for a while afterwards. I will assume you have not been working out for long, otherwise you would have already realised why you are getting sore. Just from the information you have given, it sounds like you are either starting off by doing or lifting too much. If you have not lifted or are lacking fitness, it is a good idea to build up slow and build your fitness first. It is not unusual to be sore of a day or two afterwards especially if you are just starting, but for 5 days? I would say you are lifting too much.

If you want to know where to start at and a good base to build on, see Fitness Freaks Info - Sports Fitness and Exercise - Everything you need to know about Fitness

Hope it helps and the soreness leaves.

i disagree

first time i ever did a chest workout i was sore for a week

i did the EXACT same workout the following week, less soreness
a week later, verry limited soreness

A workout that results in soreness for a week, especially in the beginning means there is something being done wrong.

its not my first time working out, im thinking its something to do with not eating right because i cant eat worth a F**k i eat a avg of about 1500 calories a day, drinking and eating but ive been benching since i was in 8th grade and i graduated in may so about 4 years and i get like that with benching also but instead of like 5 days its like 3 and right now i feel good and i worked out like 3-4 days ago, but still isent that abnormal for 4 days constant working out? i mean like i dont workout constantly because my wrist hurts for one week then the next its good i workout then when im not soar anymore it hurts again lol so like once every two weeks or so and its only like 65 pounds for both my arms and thats about half my 1 rep max.. doing like 6-7 sets of 10

Well I think You have your answer.

1500 calories sounds inadequate at first glance. You need to track it. You might be getting 1300 on average, or 2000. And what do you eat?

What kind of bicep workouts are you doing? I can only imagine. Many people including myself say skip bicep workouts for the most part and get your bi work from good back routines.

On a side note, there was a guy in the gym today doing barbell curls with 135 and about 50 pounds of it was moved by his biceps. The other 85 was moved by his lower back and legs.

o no o no i dont have bad form at all trust me, its all being lifted by my biceps and i know it for sure, i never rock and if i do then i lower the weight. and i did track it and i was getting a average of around 1500 lol i CANT eat very much and what i eat is just whatever is at my house because i cant buy food lol i cant force myself to eat alot and also i have G.E.R.D so i have to watch what i eat no fatty foods greasy foods yeah alot of no things, and i dont drink sodas at all

Posted by: Minhkey

You did 300lbs when you weights 270lbs? Now you weight 185 lbs... if you can still do 250-260 I would be amazed! That's a lot of weight to lose while retaining all that strength. Good job for that btw

Posted by: readyformore

THANKS!!! yeah i tryed to keep up my strength while lifting but alot of its genetics really, lol and i never even worked out when i was losing this weight so when i saw myself do 230 twice i was kinda amazed also =\
