Cold Cuts?

Hi all,

For cutting or even bulking I suppose, are cold cuts okay to eat? I usually grab low fat chicken, no fat turkey, ham, etc and make a couple of sandwiches a week for lunch. The turkey has absolutely 0% fat, 13% protein, unfortunately these cold cuts have high sodium.

So for cutting or even bulking, are cold cuts a good/decent option to make a quick lunch?

Thanks

That's the one reason most people here will tell you its not a good idea.

Nothing wrong with sodium if your blood pressure isn't high.

That being said, cold cuts are kinda expensive for the protein.

Just poach up or bake some chicken breasts, slice 'em up and use those for your sandwiches.

As said before they're ok, but for a purist you could argue about nitrate and sodium content.

Basically just don't overdo it, just like anything else.

main reason i don't is because most have high sodium.

I try to watch the nitrate and nitrite but I don't care much about general sodium content. And there's nothing wrong with fat.

What isn't?

I don't like cold cut meats because they taste like crap.
Usually I have to cover them with something that's even worse for you just to make the taste bearable.

Salsalito Turkey with Pepper Jack cheese, lettuce, onion, tomatoes and spicy mustard.

God I want one of those right now.
