Well I have started the Rippetoe's program and I wanted to know if my diet is on mark. I spent quite some time and I think I have it down OK. I don't get bored of eating the same stuff everyday and also my foods are limited since I'm not the one who buys them ._.
My Stats Age : 18 Weight : 130lb (kinda pudgy though) Height : 5'7 I want to go to around 150-160 then cut. Diet (7:00 a.m.) Meal 1 2 egg white 2 whole eggs Turkey Sandwich Whey Scoop 1 cup of Skim Milk Stay away from lunch meat- only turkey breast (lean with less sodium). I would say cut the skim milk and whey scoop and replace with more egg whites. (9:00 a.m.) Meal 2 1 cup of oatmeal 1 banana 1/2 Whey Scoop Try another lean protein source, do not rely on whey (although a whey protein snack won't hurt every now and then) I would ditch the carbs until post workout. Instead try raw almonds- just a palm full will do (healthy fats) and a protein source. Also add a few fish oil tablets here for your Omega 3's (1:00 p.m.) Meal 3 5oz of Chicken Breast 1 Cup of Brown Rice Salad Love your idea with the greens- green veggies (broccoli, spinach) is great for you- lots of nutrients and fiber. Chicken breast is also a good call for lean protein (2:30 p.m.) Meal 4 1/2 Cup of Oatmeal 1/2 Whey Scoop 2tbs of Peanut Butter 1 cup of Skim Milk (3:00 p.m.) Creatine (Storm) *workout* (4:00-4:30 p.m) After Workout 1/2 cup of oatmeal 1 Whey Scoop Banana (6:30 p.m.) Meal 5 2 egg white 2 whole eggs 1 cup of brown rice I like this meal. Healthy proteins, fats to slow down digestion and carbs after your post workout shake to further recover is good (8:30 p.m.) Snack 1 apple 1 cup of oatmeal Two carb sources and no protein? (9:30 - 10:00 p.m.) 1 scoop of Casein 1 cup of Milk Here is the only place I agree with milk. Not only will the Casein slow down digestion, but the milk should help as well. I used to drink lots of milk, but ditched it when I wanted to start cutting and it made a huge difference. Protein : 231g Carbs : 393g Fat: 98g Any input on what I should fix is appreciated. Oh yeah I also had a Q bout creatine...Do I take it in rest days too? |
