We have way too much crap to do here in SoFlo. At least that's the excuse we use.
The new stadium in 2012 should draw pretty well but I can't see more than 10-15k average ever. Fairly sad. I have a 20 game package and it feels like I'm in my living room when there's only 5k there. |

If they keep that up that team may pack up and leave, sad but it may happen.

With the new stadium deal it really can't. There's a clause that says if the team is sold or moved within the first 10 years the Marlins would have to pay back the city for the stadium.
The new stadium will give them a considerable bump in revenue. Right now Dolphins stadium is collecting the majority of the revenue including all parking and concessions. The Marlins see next to nothing. |

I just can't buy onto that there's too much to do theory, in NYC there's plenty to do yet both baseball teams pack their house almost every night.....this during Basketball, Football and Hockey season.
It's one thing when they lose but even when the other Florida team wins you still see the out of towners root for the visiting teams. |
