It's about time some of you give some love to my Marlins!

11-1 with the best record in baseball. Also, they have a 5 game lead in what was suggested to be the best division in MLB.

I'll give you they've taken down the Natties in two series but they also have beat the Mets and the Braves.

The shocker for me is the bullpen. After a shaky start they've had some big shut down innings.

All this winning with Hanley not hitting very well either. Seems a different guy steps up each game.

Oh yea, FUCK baseball prospectus! Douche bags!

They are so good they deserve 2 threads!!

Have they even sold out their seats?

We have way too much crap to do here in SoFlo. At least that's the excuse we use.

The new stadium in 2012 should draw pretty well but I can't see more than 10-15k average ever. Fairly sad.

I have a 20 game package and it feels like I'm in my living room when there's only 5k there.

If they keep that up that team may pack up and leave, sad but it may happen.

They have a legit shot to win their division.

With the new stadium deal it really can't. There's a clause that says if the team is sold or moved within the first 10 years the Marlins would have to pay back the city for the stadium.

The new stadium will give them a considerable bump in revenue. Right now Dolphins stadium is collecting the majority of the revenue including all parking and concessions. The Marlins see next to nothing.

I just can't buy onto that there's too much to do theory, in NYC there's plenty to do yet both baseball teams pack their house almost every night.....this during Basketball, Football and Hockey season.

It's one thing when they lose but even when the other Florida team wins you still see the out of towners root for the visiting teams.

You're missing two significant factors.

1. Most people in SoFlo are transplants and have rooting interest in other teams. This is why the NYM, Philly, and Atlanta draw so well here.

2. Yes, other cities have lots to do but nothing in comparison to SoFlo. The day life (beaches and sun year round) and night life are insane here.

On top of that the Marlins are a relatively new team that hasn't formed a major following yet. When the youngsters grow up and start have kids of there own I think things will get better.

I hope so, for the good of baseball.

Yanks are hardly sold out now when a good seat costs 2500$

Same with the Mets....you see a lot of empty front row seats.

In their defense, these games are being played during the week.

The prices are out of control though.......

Did I hear that stat correctly. Marlins starters haven't gotten a win in their last 19 starts. Brutal.
