Me and cardio!

OK I've been working out a lot lately and almost done with my schedule.
One thing i used to do was jump rope in the morning, it was good cardio, and i did it for about 20min, but then i got a little nervous, i heard that doing cardio while working out is bad, because it burns muscle, even if I'm taking protein shakes, so i stopped because i needed muscle and i didn't want to loose the little i had, lol.
Well now I'm decent, and i have quite a bit of muscle i still don't say what i lift because most would laugh, but I'm a small guy and everyone starts somewhere, i just get nervous when i see people say they lift 150 because i found out my bar weighs only 12 lbs(before i thought it was 50 lbs) so now i kinda feel week, well because i only put 30 on each side and that is bench and i could that that only 10 times max, that72lbs, i feel week, dam i got off topic.
So i saw my little cousin play his first game of soccer, he sucks and i told him he did, he get tired fast and has a week kick, and eats terrible foods, like chocolate all day! So i said starting Monday(tomorrow) i would start jogging with him for about20min-1hr and play a little soccer everyday after school for him to get stronger, and for my cardio, but theres one problem, its im scared ill lose to much muscle, so what should i do is cardio good for someone who works out or is it bad, will i loose a lot of muscle, is there i was i could do it and not loose muscle, maybe even jump rope in morning and job and soccer at night?
Everyday-
I was thinking jump rope in morning for 20min
Workout after school
and after that go jogging for 20min-1hour(not sure yet)
and a little soccer
Tell me what you think!

You won't burn that much muscle. If you're really worried, then increase the calories that you're eating to compensate.
I don't know how old your little cousin is, but he could probably benefit from lifting weights. There's more to soccer than just running, and weightlifting can help him improve.

Ya i was thinking of just getting more calories that might work and maybe extra protein, i don't think he can lift yet he's only 9 years old. I just don't want to loose any muscle because i still need a lot more to meet my goal and i could use all that i have!

9 eh?
If you can manage it, I would get him to a good strength training coach that has worked with youth. He may be a bit young for actually lifting weights, but it's never too early to learn basic movements like bodyweight squats, pushups, etc.
Assuming he is going to continue with athletics, being fluent in those movements will be hugely beneficial for him because when he finally DOES start lifting, he can hit the ground running without needing to learn the movements.

Lets start with not telling a 9 year old that he sucks at anything.
At that age, many children lack the motor skills to perform in a sport requiring that much muscle coordination.
After that, help him get away from candy and more towards healthy snacks, and teach him to respect his body with proper bodyweight excercises, which in my opnion are more than sufficient for someone that age.

Lol I'm more worried about my problem not my little cousins one, i just, well you know!
Ya he used to be good, and i used to train him on a regular basis but i stopped and now on his soccer team the coach is always calling his name, he gets taken out, he's weak, i just can stand seeing him like this, he plays games all day, when i try and give him pep talk he just ignores me, I'm getting to my boiling point, my grandma cant deal with him because he only eats junk and wont eat anything healthy and he has problems with his stomach now, I'm a little worried about him, so what i did i tried to scare him a little by saying he sucks and that if he keeps it up he's not gonna be looking forward to a healthy life and i might have slipped a word or two about him dieing early if he keeps it up.
Off topic again, i know what I'm gonna do what him, i got a little schedule and diet for him, i just need to make sure my plans for me are OK.
I just don't want to loose MUSCLE!!!!!!
OK I'm going to do take more protein and more calories!
I'M going to do jump rope in morning for 20min
when i get home ill workout out depending on the day, and then ill go jogging for 20min(for now, i might extend as i get better) and then we will practice soccer for about 15-20min.
As for his workout, i don't get him using weights yet(key word yet, when he gets old enough I'm getting him on it), ill make him do only body workouts, like push ups and stuff, ill get a schedule going!
