Bloodwork Question

Just got my bloodwork back and I was told my Hemoglobin was 18.9. My hormone level was down but that was because I was tapering a bit in preparation for the visit.
I'm on HRT and have been using an extra half tube of test each day to go along with the pro-hormone cycle I've been on.
Any suggestions on how to lower the Hemoglobin count?

Well, blood loss and bone marrow suppression reduce total hemoglobin content. The normal range of hemoglobin is approximately 14 to 17 grams per deciliter for men. Under 10, and it's considered Anemia. Low hemoglobin counts can also be a sign of...
• anemia (various types)
• erythropoietin deficiency (from kidney disease)
• red blood cell destruction associated with transfusion reaction
• bleeding
• lead poisoning
• malnutrition
• nutritional deficiencies of iron, folate, vitamin B-12, vitamin B-6
• over hydration
So be careful on how you play it with the doc. In short, I don't think you can lower your hemoglobin count. In theory, you could go and donate blood right before you see your doc, and that will temporarily lower your blood count. Worst thing...you donate blood and get to wear a special ribbon on your shirt.
And no...I don't suggest doing it.

Victor:
Thanks for the feedback. My concern isn't with low hemoglobin, my (and my doc's) concern is that it's too high! My doc seems to think 18 is stroke territory and wants me to cut down on my test intake for a while.
Obviously that isn't something I want to do while in a cycle so.....
What do you think?

Donate a pint, then tell them you are taking hormones. Hopefully, they will dispose of it.
