subcutaneous bruising

I am injecting HCG during cycle and am expirencing bruising. I am injecting sub-q into ab .5 to 1 inch to the left or right of belly button. I am just 2 weeks into my cycle so i have only done the injections 3 times. the first bruised the third was fine and the third bruised bad!!!... i am using Exel 1cc x 28g x .5” and am inserting the whole .5 of the needle during injections. My question is am i going to deep and is there any advice anyone can give to stop bruising. I'd rather not inject where it is visible when i take off my shirt, is the any other injection sites that are a litte more inconspicuous. THX..
