Bottle Top Filtration

I'm getting a new bottle top filtration complete system (1000ml Klari-Flex).

It appears you have to buy an entire bottle top every time for about $16. This seems stupid to me, I would much rather just buy the filter disc itself instead of the entire top. I've seen the disc going at $150 for 50 of them.... I don't need 50 of them...

Anyone know where you can just get disc? Anyone have any other tricks up there sleeve....

How do you get the contents out without potentially contaminating it?

Just simply sealing the receiver and using a syringe to transfer is good enough.

check on Millipore - Biomanufacturing and Life Science Research.... they have every filtration system known to man on that site.... they have a badass bottletop setup that fits 20-67mmbottles(most vials from gpzservices are 20mm) watch the filter unit though(they have everything from .20um and up.... .20 is a motherfucker to get oil through, its made more for aqueaous solutions)

What type of filter do you recommend for solutions containing 2% BA, 18% BB, 80% GSO?

Im talking about between the choices of PES, PVDF, Nylon....ect

I believe a few peeps mentioned what it is called in about home brew thread. But to some it up it's a rubber seal.
