    Time to transform

    Height: 5'8"
    Weight: 232
    Goal: Much lower bf!

During the fall I had made a lot of progress getting in shape. After my wife had a baby and I hurt my back in a car accident, I went back to fatassness. I'm going to fix that.

I'm off to a great start. I found out this morning that my babysitter uses what I pay her to get high. Talking about that with my wife screwed up my whole morning. Meetings and a sports competition is keeping at work for 12 hours today. I had a choice of pop tart or nothing for breakfast, and I ate them. We were given food tonight.... pizza. I at least ate well the rest of the day with turkey breast, egg whites natty pb etc.

I did manage to go to the gym at 5am. Nothing exciting, just an shortened back workout.

I had to be at work early yesterday so I had a short workout. I did kettlebells at home.

Today I did chest and triceps.

    Bench:
    3x335
    3x355
    3x385

    Incline flies:
    2x8 at 65lbs

    Decline flies
    2x8 at 65lbs

I also did dips and tricep pushdowns.

    Today's stats
    Weight 226
    Belly: 38"
    Arse: 42"
I've been taking caliper measurements digitally. The body fat calculation is wrong So I will just list measurements.

    Thigh: 9

Hey man, sometimes shit happens and it's an off day. Try to minimize it to just one crappy meal if possible and make sure to wash it down with ALLOT of water. It helps. Most of us here are going to have those days in a span of 3 whole months. Just don't get frusterated on the things that are out of your control and you'll be fine.

No worries. I wasn't upset about the diet issue. The babysitter issue did bother me though! I'm a coach and when we have a track meet, I"m usually at work for 14+ hours a day. There's no where to keep food cold. They feed us at meets, but since the economy went bad it's either pizza, hotdog or hamburger. I need to start bringing something that doesn't need to be cold. The first meet was a place that used to still feed us good food. It looks like they have fallen with the economy too because we had cheap pizza instead.

    Today

    Weight: 225.8
    Belly: 37.5
    Arse: 42
    Bicep: 17.5

    Workout
    20 minutes on the treadmill
    Lots of ab work

I wanted to do squat today, but put it off until tomorrow. With the back pain I've had recently I thought I would rather do it on a Saturday when I could take my time.

    Today

    Weight 224.4
    Belly, arse, no change

    Workout:
    Squat
    5x315
    3x365
    3x385

    extensions, curls, abduction and adduction

I knew I would be weak. I had to lay off squat for a long time for the back issues and today was the first day I tried to go heavy. The good news is that my back held up for the most part. I was just weak.

I'm not worried, but I don't like to see my squat workout look like my bench! I log all of my workouts and try to improve when I cycle back to the same workout. I was hoping to get the same amount as last time, but I couldn't hit it. That was expected, but not my goal.

    Yesterday was an off day.

    Today
    Weight: 225.4

This was an expected weight gain. I'm following the anabolic diet. The gain was due to carbon loading.

Today's workout was shoulders. I haven't separated them.out for at least a year. They are a little weak so I wanted to give them some attention.

Hammer strength presses, lateral raises, bent lateral raises, upright rows. I also did cardio and abs.

    228.4 today. The

My workout today was back. Lat pulls, bent rows, straight leg dead lift, seated rows. At work I ended up having to carry heavy things over long distances. I'm already worn out! 8 hours of work down, 5 to go. I should have waited for back day!

No workout or weigh in Sunday. Today I didn't weigh in because I hate weighing in after a weekend carbfest. I did have a leg workout today. I had to skip squats and deads due to back. I did leg press which always feels like I'm doing nothing even when I fill the machine with weight. I also did extensions, curls, calf raises.

Today was the best diet day I've had. I've eaten about 40 grams of carbs and 200 grams of protien and about 1600 calories. I've not been hungry all day which was a big change from last week.

I weighed in at 224 this morning and was a half inch down on my waist, stomach and butt. The bad news is that no matter how much protein in ate today, I felt like I was starving. When I ate my Wednesday cheat meal, I got carried away.... very carried away.

My workout today was 20 minutes of cardio. I don't know why I was so hungry today. I hadn't been hungry at all the last two days. Maybe the cardio put me over the top.

How many calories are you eating bro? I'm 230lbs and I'm eating ~1750kcal. I am hungry just about always. I think I dreamed about being hungry last night.

    Good luck homie.

    1700 to 2000.....last night a lot more!

Today was chest and triceps. I was supposed to do my 5-4-3-2-1 workout for bench. I usually use it for a max. The last time I had done it was 1/16/11. I did very little in Feb and didn't go heavy again until this contest started. I wasn't expecting a PR.

    5x225
    4x315
    3x365
1x405 (things were easy so far and I wanted a PR so I only did one here)
Shooting for PR I tried 435 and failed. Pissed about the expected fail, I quickly dropped it down to 315 and did 6. I could have done a couple more but didn't want try without a spotter.

Fueled by anger, the rest of my workout was at a fast pace.
    Dips 2x20
    Standing kickback 4x5
    Flys 3x8 65

I took too long failing at bench so I didn't get a lot done though. At least I realized I've been too passive at the gym. Being pissed was a nice feeling I need to use more.

Yesterday I wasn't hungry at all. Maybe it was just the cardio. If that's the case and I can't stop from eating, the cardio isn't doing me any good!

Yesterday: 226.8 in the morning. Calories: 1860, 59 fat, 75 carbs, 232 protien.

This morning I was hoping for a little weight drop, but I was at 226. I thought maybe the 4lb increase was water an I would lose more of it!

    Workout:

    Legs

    Squat.
    5x315
    4x335
    3x355
    2x375
    2x415

    Seated calf raises 4x15 180lbs
    Extensions 4x5 190-250
Curls 4x8 110-160 (f-ing knee always hurts on curls, probably from an old cartilage tear.)

I'll be at a track meet all day today and tomorrow. I'm going to try to diet well, but my only access to food will be what I bring and the concession stand for 12 hours each day. It's possible I will be in rain the whole time. I plan to bring a lot, but I'm not sure how well it will go. I will bring canned turkey, tuna, peanuts, natty pb and a chicken breast. If anyone has any suggestions as to what food would be good to bring during an all day outing likely in the rain, let me know! I'll be doing the same thing during a few days in the next few weeks.

I'm also not looking forward to how tight my legs will be after the long bus ride today. I'm sure I'll look like a 100 yr old man climbing the stadium. I may have to punch out some athletes making fun!
