Advice Appreciated

I'm new to this forum (amazing, by the way...a lot to be learned here). I've taken my time to read a lot before posting, but I would like to share my information with you all in the hopes of receiving some advice/constructive criticism.

I'm 5'10 and currently 265lbs. In January I got tired of being fat and lazy, so I decided to lose weight. I weighed 355 in January, and lost 100lbs in 30 weeks through calorie deficits and cardio. I'm very happy to have lost all of the weight, but I'm still fat (28%BF).

My major concern is what I may have done to my metabolism. I kept lowing my daily calories until I got to the point where I was eating 1200 calories/day and not losing any weight. I decided that I had lost enough weight for now, and that I need to get my metabolism fired up again, so I've kicked up my calories to 2300-2700/day. I'm trying to focus more on nutrient %, so I've been eating several (5-7) meals/day with my focus being high protein, moderate comlex carbs, and low (not absent) fat.

My long term goal is to bulk up and obtain a BF% in the mid/low teens. I turned my main focus on lifting weights again June, and have found great gains. I've done away with a lot of my cardio in the hopes of sparing my energy for weightlifting.

I know that it may be questionable to some (be honest), but I started a cycle of a "Tren-like" product (Estra-4,9-diene-3, 17 dione 30mg....2a,3a-epithio-217a-methyletioallocholanol 8mg....twice daily). I did my reaserch on the product and felt like it would be beneficial to my goals. Is this agreeable?

I'm 1.5 weeks into the 6 week cycle. Should my focus be on maintaining high calories for gains, or moderate calories for gains/fatloss. Like I said, I'm just looking for opinions from those of you who have knowledge and advice to share.

Thank you for taking the time to read my post. YOUR RESPONSES ARE GREATLY APPRECIATED.

I can only tell you what I did. I'm 6'3" and used to weigh 237 lbs last Jan 2009. I am now a lean 192 and fit. I eat only healthy, quality food, 15 - 20 non-bleached almonds/day, no frozen foods, no prepared foods with all those preservatives crap, skim milk, low fat breakfast, lots of fruit, 1 sandwich for lunch, 190 grams iso protein powder/day with water, no sugar. I work out every second day with weights. I do 1 hour of cardio (elliptical machine).

That sounds like a pretty good way to go, Robert. Thanks for the ideas.

Steve - welcome!

Another former fatty here. Have a peek at the link in my sig on getting started. I have some info in there you may find helpful in figuring out your diet.

Robertm does more cardio than my lazy ass likes, but I'm with him about the almonds - I eat a few ounces of raw nuts every day.

Wondering where to start? Confused? This will get you started.
