Big Guys need advice too
Height: 73 inches
weight: 283 lbs BF%: 31.4% Age: 26 yrs 5 months ago i started working out seriously, 4-5 days a week 1-2 hrs at the gym weightlifting and cardio. My goal is just to be at 20% BF right now while maintaining my lean body mass. I have been a carpenter for 7 yrs so my body is used an ample amount of abuse and i feel that I have taken to putting on muscle pretty well, at least so far. I mainly need advice on cutting the fat healthily. My diet consists of protein shakes, salads with chicken mixed in, and random meals for dinner, no fast food. I eat on average about 3-4 hrs apart with a total calorie intake of about 3000. Any and all advice is appreciated. I am curious how does one tell if they are over training themselves? I wait one day past a muscle group is not sore anymore before hitting it again but some people have told me i need more rest days to grow stronger. |

Ditto M11's comments then post your diet questions in the diet forum, training questions in the training forum.
So far your goals sound reasonable to achieve and you'll get some good guidance here. As far as overtraining: I often train when I'm still sore from a previous workout.
