Hello, my names Chaz. I have been lurking on these forums for about 1 month and finally registered. I use to work out regularly with my father who was a amateur bodybuilder when I was younger (17-20yrs old). I'm 29 going on 30 this year and I have let myself go since then and o'boy do I hear it from him about how much.
My current stats:
Male
Age: 29
Weight: 320lbs
Height: 6'2"
It wasn't my father's "comments" that made me want to start eating better and being more active. It was about 2 months ago and It was freezing cold here in MI. I was running a little late to one of my classes so I walked a little faster. Once I got into my building I was breathing harder than normal and sort of out of breath. When I sat down in class, I started sweating for the next 15 minutes. This showed me how much I was out of shape.
I started noticing how much harder it is to get up off the floor and how much the fat on my body is getting in the way. I even started resting my forearms on my stomach when I sit. This is a big no no for me.
Here are my goals (some long term and short):
1) First Diet - eat cleaner
2) 12% Body Fat - I prefer using a BF% than an actual weight goal since I will be building lean muscle mass.
3) Have good muscle proportion and size.
Iron Magazine Forum seems like a great community of people with the same interests. I look forward to speaking with you guys in the forums.
