    53 yr old Newbie

Hello, I am a 53 yr old that has worked out most of my life. I am always fighting fat. Will get in shape and keep it off for years only to regain it as the results of injuries or something changing the routine in my life. Have been on diet and fitness using HRT under the guidance of a Doctor and have lost 70 lbs. I have about 20 more lbs to go and dont wont to lose any more muscle. Looking around for advice and also to hear from others undergoing HRT.

Welcome, its great to have some company in our "seasoned" age group!

I have never been more than 15-20 lbs over weight so I can to help much but I would think that someone can.

My first thought is to work your legs hard to burn more calories and create more mass in the your lower body, also, strengthen your hip/waist girdle with dead lifts, and adjust your intake of protein to 1 gram per lb max.....

All my knowledge and info is from the 80's so I may be off base.
