    Frustrated with wieght gain

OK. I am new to this forum and hope someone can shed some light on what I need to do. I have always been really thin (136 lbs, 5'10") but in September started a wieght trainng program. Results were stellar at first gaining 14 pounds in 2 months getting me to my first goal of 150. My second phase goal is 165. I noticed I stopped gaining about a month ago. Since then I have increased my calorie intake to over 3000 calories per day (I keep track of everything on a spreadsheet), I work out to faliure 3 times a week, I have increased my intake of water, my intake ratio is about 35% fat, 42% CArbs and 26% protein. What do I need to do to get past this roadblock!! Please help.

well theres still a lot of details missing. go to the diet forum and look at the stickies... those are the closed forums at the top under the title "stickies" and after you read those post your diet

just off hand sounds like you might want to up that protein intake though. 26% of your diet?? thats pretty low

26% of 3000 calories is 200g protein - well over 1g/lb lean mass. His protein is ample. What he needs is more calories, flat out. If you're not gaining, you simply need to eat more. To the OP, please read the link in my sig for more on this.

UGH! jeez way to throw me under the bus like that. yeah i didn't think about that. just saw 26%. that seems like a low proportion but i guess if you eating enough, you're eating enough.

LOL at being thrown under the bus - you just demonstrated why I eschew percentage-based diets, though. They really don't mean anything.
