I am 61 yr old and a martial artist (Tai Chi/Qigong/Bagua) so this is not the site that you would probably find me, but I am interested in fitness and nutrition. I contratced Myasthenia Gravis 10 yrs ago and that screwed me up pretty go as this is concidered a form of MD and is an autoimmune disorder. I had to stop everything even working. I thought Life as I know it was over. Then one day I woke up with high blood pressure, 360 lbs and generaly poor health. I then found out I had Celiacs and just to make things worse I had a stone quary in my kidneys. I got fed up with the doctors and the powerful drugs that they used and decided to chnage my life and take it back.
I am now stronger, taking almost no drugs at all and if the doctors knew what I was taking they would probably tell me to stop altogether. My weight has drop 100 lbs, blood pressure is down to 115/64 plus I am stone free and I am back to Martial arts and an instructor.
I have never wanted to have large showy muscels because this would slow me down but I do appreciate what this community does and what they are trying to achieve. I would prefer a lean thin body with well defined muscel but not as bulky. I believe that you can give the advice to achieve what I want.
