    Ready to learn!

I had several injuries from work and car accidents from 2009-2012 that really kept me from working out with any consistancy during that time period. Before 2009 I was in pretty good shape but I know I could have trained harder. I am healthy again and I have been working out 3-4 days per week for the past 6 months and I think I am ready to take it to the next level, I have been doing what is probably a standard routine and trianing as hard as I can but I want to get smarter with it and maintain a better diet. These are my stats right now:

    27 years 6 months
    68.5" (5'8")
    174-179 pounds

Bench Press - 270lbs MAX, 245lbs x 3 (I can do a few more but my form goes to shit so we'll say 3 to be honest)

    Standing barbell military press - 115 x 8

Pullups (NOT CHINUPS) - 14 without stopping

    Precher Curls - 45lb plates 5 reps

    Squat - 185 x 5

My abs are the best they have ever been but I still have a long way to go, they were non existent before lol.

My short term goal is to develop a good routine and diet. I want to increase strength and look better naked.

    My long term goals :

I want to bench press 300lbs (just because)

I want to be able to do 20 pullups without stopping

I want to be able to squat 225lbs 10 times.

Im going to add Deadlifts to my weekly routine, I will do them the day I do back. Is 6-8 reps a good range for squats and deadlifts? I usually do a high rep set at the end.

I usually do 5 sets of 5 reps or 5 sets 3 reps depending on how heavy I want to get. 6-8 reps would be on a light day but if your just starting out then I say your good and will help you find what weight is good to get you workin, if you feel like you can add weight without breaking form then add weight, but don't try to get too carried away on your first set, use as a warm up set
