3 pounds in this 2 weeks is good, you won't keep this up, but 10-15 lbs a year is good, just keep going and be patient.

Hercules welcome to IM!

unless you're gaining fat and/or on steroids 3lbs in 2 weeks is pretty good. I would be happy if I could gain 1 pound of muscle per month.

Gaining weight at a rate of 1 - 1 1/2 #'s per week by eating clean foods is a good place to be. You will put on less fat with the muscle.

stay at those calories for a couple more weeks as long as you are gaining weight. Then once you have stopped gaining you can do one of two things:

1) up your cals even higher and try and gain more weight

2) take one week and lower your cals to give your digestive system a break and to throw your body a curve ball.
